Denali D2D (Dual Intensity) LED Lighting 2-Light Kit with Full Wiring Harness and M8 Mount
The second generation in Denali LED Lighting from Twisted Throttle. The Denali D2 light kit with 70% higher luminous flux (effective brightness) then the Denali D1 kit.
When bright isn’t bright enough, grab a set of Denali D2 LED lamps. Advances in super-swanky LED technology have increased the effective light output of our Denali D1 system by nearly 70% without increasing the electrical power draw to your motorcycle. Consuming only 10 watts (0.83 amps at 12 volts DC) of power per lamp, it throws a blazing beam of light in front of you nearly twice as bright as the beam generated by the original Denali D1.
Yeah, but how many lumens is it?
This is a hard item to describe in terms of lumens yet, that is the measurement tool most LED lights have been measured by up to this point - Including the Denali D1 (900 lumens). Lumens is a measure of visible light AT THE SOURCE before the light is "driven" from the source . The Denali D2 uses a new patent pending driver to drive a more efficient MCE LED by Cree, Inc. vs the P7 LED by Seoul Semiconductor in the Denali D1.
The D1 uses a P7 LED that the manufacturer of the LED Seoul rates at 900 lumens.
The D2 uses a MCE LED that the manufacturer of the LED Cree rates at 860 lumens.
The Driver, not the input voltage determines at what forward current the led is driven. At a forward current of 2800milli amp the P7 led would have 900 lumens and the MCE led 860 Lumens.
Therefore the higher the input voltage the lower the amp draw, the light output will remain the same on either the Denali D1 or the Denali D2, no matter the input voltage.
The way we are able to get 70% more useable light form the D2 is through our patent pending Prime Drive technology. Unfortunatley we cannot reveal exactly how it works as the patent is still pending.
- The Smart LED - With Prime Drive Technology you are getting the most light possible. The most Lumen s per LED while prolonging the life of the LEDs and maintaining the lowest amp draw possible.
- Electronic Thermal Management - ETM monitors the heat output of the LEDs in order to maintain safe operating temperatures and prolong the LED life span to its full 50,000 hour potential.
- Pulse Width Modulator - With the Pulse Width Modulator technology, the light is dimmable with the use of a separate controller to allow for optimum flexibility.
- Driven - The Denali D2 is driven at 90%, meaning less energy wasted and more light output. This allows for the most lumen s while maintaining the optimal operating conditions for the LEDs.
- Pure - With 90% optically pure optics, you can be sure that you are getting the most distance and most accuracy out of each LED.
As with the Denali D1 system, the D2 is housed in a rugged waterproof 2” aluminum housing (submersible to 3 meters underwater). The LED boasts an average life of over 50,000 hours (6+ years) without ever being shut off. Yup, we went overboard. It’s what we do. - 2 x spot driving beam lenses (10 degree beam pattern)
- 2 x flood beam lenses (25 degree beam pattern)
- Installation instructions
The Denali LEDs are housed in a rugged die-cast aluminum housing for optimum durability and heat dissipation. The housings are IP68 (ingress protection) rated so that they're impenetrable to dust and submersible under water up to 3 meters. The unbreakable polycarbonate lenses are housed by a 6061 aluminum face plate which doubles as a radiant heat sink to melt away snow and ice in frigid conditions. The Denali D2 LEDs have been subjected to a 14Grms vibration test to ensure their performance in high impact conditions.
The Denali D2 has integrated Prime Drive Technology into this updated LED light to bring the most powerful light per cubic inch onto the market. This auxiliary LED lighting kit has a 50,000 hour lifespan, PWM Dimmability, and Electronic Thermal Management all with extremely low amp draw making this the most advanced LED light pod on the market.
This kit includes interchangeable lenses that allow you optic patterns of 10° (Spot) or 25° (Flood).

Installation Notes:
- We have noticed that the interlink and associated channel on the LED pod have very tight tolerances. It may be that you find that the interlink does not want to seat. In this case apply a light tap to the interlink to slide it in far enough to allow the M3 bolt to gain purchase.
- Be certain to plug the light switch into the proper port and the light pods as well. Premture failure can result if done improperly.
Application Chart Since we incorporated the same mounting design into the D2 System the D1 & D2 lights are interchangeable on any known good mounting application.
Description: Quickly "unravel" the components comprising the Denali 2 wiring harness. This short video will help you to identify the leads and help you differentiate between pod and trigger plugs.

Well the pictures and the text hype on the TT.com website did not fail to live up to expectations... I am a happy Denali D2 customer! While I haven't tried both lenses yet (just the preinstalled spots) and I have a bit of fine tuning to do with the aim of the lights, I must say that the light output is intense. I took some videos of my stock HL on low and high beam, and then with the D2s on (in dual-intensity mode) and I couldn't believe the difference. Makes me wonder how anyone ever saw me coming before, but they certainly will now. The D2s DRAMATICALLY increase your oncoming visibility. Regarding the installation, the product is top quality and the instructions are superb. A lot of thought has gone into the design of these lights and associated bits. The connectors are all of a very high quality automotive type, and all wires are meticulously shrink-wrapped, etc. However, there are a few nits to pick. Obviously this product was not designed for the '93 GS, as the wiring harness between the control box and the lights is entirely too long. I ended up looping it up and zip-tying it above my airbox. I can accept this. What I do find baffling is how short the battery leads are for the control box. They are terribly short, and this limits mounting locations available to you. The leads are 6-8 inches long, and they should be a foot or more long so that mounting options along the spine of the bike are available. One could mofify them, but that introduces a point of failure in the otherwise superb harness. Having said that, I am super pleased with the result (more light!) and the Techmounts I ordered as well really step up the quality of the installation too. Overall, a 9 out of 10 in my book.
