How soon do you ship?
In-stock items usually ship from our Rhode Island warehouse within 1-2 business days of your order. Items that ship from warehouses in North Carolina, Washington, and Nevada usually ship within 1-3 business days. Our website currently does not have the capability to display stock status information. Please call to place your order if you need it delivered by a specific date! How late in the day place an order and have it ship the same day? Orders for in-stock items placed by 3:00PM will be shipped the same day. Stock status is NOT currently displayed on our website. Please call, email or or chat with us BEFORE placing your order to confirm stock status. What happens if one of the items in my order is not in stock? If you call to place your order, our gear experts will let you know whether items are in stock at the time you place the order. If something is not in stock, we'll offer alternatives that can be delivered immediately, as well as an anticipated arrival date for out of stock items. If you place your order on the website and one of the items is not in stock, we'll act as follows: o U.S. orders: - If the out-of-stock item does not prevent the use of other items in the order, we'll ship what we have in stock immediately. We'll also call and email twice (once a day for two business days) to let you know the anticipated ship date of out-of-stock items and suggest alternative items that can be delivered immediately. - If the out-of-stock item prevents the use of other items in the order, we'll ship the portion of the order you can use independently and hold the dependent portion of the order for up to 2 business days. During this period, we'll email and call you twice (once a day for two business days) to suggest in-stock substitutions and let you know the anticipated ship date of the out-of-stock items in your order. If we are unable to contact you within 2 business days, we'll ship what we have in stock on the 3rd business day, then ship the remainder of the order when it arrives in our warehouse. Common dependent items include: * Sideracks and side luggage * Topcases and topcase mounts * Windscreens and windscreen mounts * Handguard plastics * Tankbags and tankbag mounts * Footpegs and footpeg mounts * Driving lights and light mounts * GPS mounts and GPS cradles o International orders: - International orders will be held in our warehouse until they can ship complete. This decreases international shipping and brokerage fees for you. We will call and email you twice (once a day for two business days) to let you know the anticipated delay and inform you of alternative items that can be delivered immediately. If we do not hear from you within two business days, we'll assume you wish to proceed with the order as originally placed and will ship it complete once all items arrive. If you wish us to ship what's in stock immediately, we can split the order an ship separately at an additional shipping charge if you request us to do so. Can I add to or change my order after it is placed? Orders for in-stock items are processed and shipped immediately. Once we start to process an order for in-stock items, the order cannot be changed. If you'd like to order additional items, we can create a new order for you. In general, we cannot combine multiple orders into one shipment because different orders are processed at different times. Can I cancel my order after it is placed? Orders may be canceled only before the order is processed and shipped. Please CALL to cancel orders. If you email us to cancel an order, we may not see the email until after the order has already been processed and shipped, and we'll be unable to refund your shipping charges. Do you guarantee shipment or delivery dates? Please call to place your order if you need it delivered by a specific date! We'll do everything in our power to get your order on its way to you before the big trip. As we don't personally drive the FedEx trucks, we cannot guarantee a particular delivery date and cannot issue a refund if the item does not arrive by the requested date. How long does it typically take for a package to be delivered once shipped?
Twisted Throttle's typical order processing time (from receipt of order to ship date) is 1 to 2 business days. We are located on the east coast in southern Rhode Island. Transit times for FedEx Ground to points within the continental US are between 1 & 5 days depending on destination zip code (see map). Alaska & Hawaii and certain remote points will take between 6 & 7 days. Items shipped from other locations will have a different time-in-transit. Keep in mind, that if you place your order late in the day, we may not be able to process it until the next business day. Residential packages shipped via FedEx Home Delivery are delivered Tuesday thru Saturday. Commercial packages shipped via FedEx Ground to business locations are delivered Monday thru Friday. We ship Monday – Friday. If we ship a residential package to you on Tuesday, to a 4 day transit point in California, the expected delivery day will be Saturday. If we ship a commercial package to you on Tuesday, to a 4 day transit point in California, the expected delivery day will be Monday. Expedited delivery is also available for an additional charge. These services include FedEx Priority Overnight, FedEx Standard Overnight, FedEx 2 Day and FedEx Express Saver (3 day). Saturday delivery is also available for FedEx Priority Overnight and for FedEx 2 day for both commercial and residential shipments. Do you require signature on deliveries? Nope. What shipping carriers do you use? We ship using all available U.S. Postal Service (USPS) and all residential and commercial FedEx shipping methods. Availability of a particular shipping method depends on the size of the package, weight of the package, and the destination country. We recommend using FedEx for all packages being sent to destinations within the USA that weigh more than about 1-2 lbs. Packages under that weight are sometimes less expensive to send by USPS Priority Mail. Canadian customers will save a ton of money on brokerage fees by selecting a USPS shipping method instead of FedEx, but USPS isn't as fast or trackable as FedEx Tracking. Australian customers will notice that there are a lot of items (like crashbars) that are too big for us to ship via post because Australia's maximum allowable package size is tiny. In those situations, FedEx is the only way we can send items to you. What's the FedEx tracking number for my order? You will receive a computer-generated email with a tracking number within 24 hours of when your order is shipped via FedEx from our warehouse. Certain items sometimes ship from warehouses located in other parts of the country. Tracking numbers are not automatically emailed for such shipments, but can be found on our Order Status page. To find tracking numbers or check the status of an order, please visit our Order Status page. Do you ship to locations outside the United States? We ship worldwide. Depending on the destination, we may require payment in advance via wire transfer. We ship to APO/FPO addresses. While most shipments sent through the USPS to APO/FPO addresses arrive within a week, we have had some situations in the past where USPS shipments were delivered 3 to 4 months after we shipped them. USPS shipments to APO/FPO addresses cannot be tracked. Large items may not be shippable by certain shipping methods or may be subject to oversize fees not accounted for in our shopping cart. In these situations, we will notify you of the necessary changes to shipping method and shipping costs prior to processing your order. How much does international shipping cost? If you would like an international shipping cost estimate, you have two options: (1) Send us an email via the Contact Us page including your address and a list of the items you would like. (2) Add the items to your shopping cart and use the automatic shipping cost calculator. We recommend using USPS Express Mail or Priority Mail for international shipments as this avoids the high brokerage fees charged by FedEx. How much do international brokerage fees, duties, and taxes cost? Regardless of the shipping method you choose, international orders are subject to duties and taxes. Duties and taxes are NOT collected by Twisted Throttle; they are collected at the border of the receiving country and are charged directly to the customer by the shipping company or your customs broker. Upon request, we can provide you with the country of origin and customs classification code for each item in your order to make it easier to clear your goods through customs. If the customer does not wish to pay these duties and taxes when the order arrives at their country's border, the customer may: (1) Abandon the package. In this case, the customer will not need to pay the duties and taxes, but the customer will not be eligible for a refund from Twisted Throttle; OR (2) Pay all return shipping, brokerage fees, duties, and taxes required to return the order to Twisted Throttle (at no cost to Twisted Throttle). Once the goods are received back at Twisted Throttle, we will provide a refund for the original order amount. We will not modify or obscure our invoice or packing list in order to circumvent or otherwise mislead customs inspectors as to the value of the contents -- please do not ask us to.
